| BACKGROUND |
inktank design is a small… very small… ok, a one person studio that craves the challenges a start-up, established company or non-profit organization presents. inktank design offers identity (re)design, any and all print collateral, web design and environmental way-finding and signage.

Being a one-man-show keeps my overhead low while providing maximum maneuverability and personal attention. Because I manage every aspect of a project, my clients know they can come directly to me with any questions and concerns. For large projects and in times of surplus, this studio can easily expand by pulling from a talented pool of colleagues expert in their respective specialties.
I have run inktank design in the Bay Area since 2001. I spent four years of formal training in design, visual communication and fine arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After working in advertising, educational book publishing, fan club merchandising and the gift and stationary products industry, I realized the best way to enjoy life and fill the creative void was to work for myself. As of May 2007, I serve as the Communications Co-Chair for the San Francisco chapter of the AIGA | the professional association for design.

Other than all types of design from typography, to furniture and architecture, I am obsessed with cooking whatever happens to be in-season, motorcycling, Thelonius Monk, film noir, the Bauhaus, traveling and generally being anywhere out of doors.
