Taking joy in seeing projects through the creative process to the finished piece motivates my entire approach. I infuse creativity into every aspect of design from client contact and conversation to presentation of the concepts to the final execution of the assignment at hand. At every stage, I strive for excellence in quality design and typography while staying on-message. I approach graphic design as a unique opportunity and challenge to integrate a client’s needs and wishes with my own skills and sensibilities. Though I have as much at stake in the finished product as the client, I am reminded to place their needs, not mine at the fore. |

When accepting a new project, I begin by fostering an atmosphere of easy, open dialogue in which a client can explore their wants and desires. My job at this stage is to simply listen, take note and understand their core needs. This initial conversation while creating a conceptual foundation can set the tone for the entire relationship. Although my work is visual, I do my best to keep the communication open throughout the life of a project and beyond.
After the client sit-down, I am able to explore and experiment with a myriad of ideas, within the boundaries of opinions, budgets, and of course basic functionality of a piece. Design is a reductive process. It is a whittling away at the endless ideas via thumbnail sketches, written brainstorms and if called for paper models and mock-ups. This along with client feedback helps realize a simple, elegant and successful end-product. |

Though every project requires a different perspective and approach, I have certain sensibilities and themes in which I love to work. My style is precise and minimal, ordered and detailed, bold yet casual. It can be most succinctly characterized by a crisp, clean, straight-forward manner through use of the intelligent organization and smooth flow of information.
Words alone can’t convey any artist’s style. You’re invited to review a sampling of my best work and let me know how I can help your business. |
